Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger

Our shell and tube heat exchangers are used in many comfort and industry applications for heating and cooling fluids. They consist of a shell with traditional plain tubes or enhanced surface tubes for high thermal performance. The fluids can be liquids or gases, one of which flows inside the tubes while the other flows outside the tubes within the shell. There are single-phase or two-phase heat exchangers, and the latter is used to either boil or condense fluids.

Ranges from Ø100 mm to Ø1000 mm shells; straight tube lengths from 500 mm up to 5,000 mm (overall length 90 - 6,000 mm). Standard tubing is Ø 6.3 mm to 25 mm, but other types are available. Baffles and nozzles are tailored to customers' individual requirements and acceptable pressure drop.

The heating surface ranges from 0.5 m2 to 100 m2; heat load ranges from 10 kW up to approx. 2 MW. Any intermediate design is available from the standard range. Designs above 2 MW are carried out on request or substituted by another Industries product.

The standard shell is fitted with three ½ inch sockets for mounting of safety valve, draining valve, temperature sensor or pressure gauge.
